Red Chidgey is Lecturer in Gender and Media at King’s College London. Her current research examines techniques of creativity and risk in online anti-rape activism.
She is also spearheading a digital archive dedicated to the global protest movement SlutWalk. SlutWalks mobilize around the call to end ‘rape culture’ and institutional patterns of victim-blaming. Over two hundred SlutWalks have taken place internationally in over forty countries, from Canada to South Africa, from Brazil to Poland. The Slutwalk archive will be available on www.grassrootsfeminism.net.
Red will be chairing the Arts and Activism Panel on Thursday 30th of July.
